Prof. Dr. Hj. Kokom Komalasari, M.Pd dan Dr. Epin Saepudin, M.Pd pada masa dulu sebagai dosen dan mahasiswa. Kini keduanya menjadi rekan seprofesi sebagai dosen pada kampus yang berbeda. Kokom adalah alumni angkatan 1990 (Sekretaris Dewan Guru Besar UPI) sedangkan Epin angkatan 2008 (Dosen ITB).

Uniknya, keduanya pada Selasa (24/9/2019) kemarin berkolaborasi dengan mengisi workshop di kampus Ganeca, ITB. Mereka menjadi narasumber dengan tema “Implementasi model tracer study berbasis pendidikan karakter untuk meningkatkan softskill mahasiswa ITB” bertempat di Auditorium CC Timur ITB.

Menurut Epin tujuan workshop untuk menemukenali dan mengembangkan model pendidikan karakter di perguruan tinggi dalam meningkatkan softskill mahasiswa melalui tracer study.

“Peserta sebanyak 70 orang dosen di berbagai perguruan tinggi di Jawa Barat,” ujar Mantan Ketua Umum HMCH peride 2009-2010.

Kokom yang juga Sekretaris Dewan Guru Besar UPI menyampaikan materi dengan judul “Pendidikan karakter berbasis living value” sedang Epin membahas PPKn berbasis living learning community sebagai strategi pendidikan karakter di ITB.

Acara itu digelar oleh Tim PPM KKIK ITB. Epin sendiri merupakan Ketua Tim pengembangan mata kuliah Pendidikan Karakter ITB. “Yang dikembangkan di ITB adalah pendidikan karakter holistik integratif melalui program kurikuler (PPKn) dengan Pembinaan mahasiswa di asrama,” ungkapnya.

Ia menambahkan saat ini pendidikan karakter sudah menjadi mata kuliah dengan bobot 3 sks yang menjadikan Pancasila sebagai core value dalam pengembangannya.
